How does all quiet on the western front end? I need the exact words more than I need a drink of water, and I am dying of thirst.

We would cannibalize scraps of the past to find meaning for ourselves in the present. Putting your last words in latin cannot change the fact that they are your last words. Insanity is not sadness. That is a lie, or at the very least is a myth that is not dispelled frequently enough. Sadness is being alone. The vast majority of what we concern ourselves with would have no meaning if every other human being dropped from the face of the earth. Language loses all purpose the second you become the only one who still speaks it. The language dies with you, but by virtue of your aloneness, you are already dead. Perhaps you understand. Perhaps you understood before I did. Perhaps you have always understood. But you did not speak. You let me flail in the darkness alone. For that, I cannot forgive any of you, though I truthfully must say that I would have done the same. No matter, we must take total responsibility or all will fall into ruin.
